Proud to spotlight our Local 66 sheet metal installers who just wrapped Phase 1 of a demanding tenant improvement project at the City of Seattle Municipal Tower: 2 of 7 floors complete.
Every bit of this work is happening at night, on a tight pull schedule dictated by the general contractor’s timeline. That means our crews are threading ductwork, coordinating with multiple trades, and hitting production targets while the rest of the city sleeps, all without cutting a single corner on safety.
This project also came with City requirements around prevailing wage, local hiring, and apprentice participation. Working closely with Local 66 and our team, we hit every one of those compliance goals, while still managing a demanding schedule and delivering with safety and quality front and center.
Credit to our foreman, Jeremy, for building the game plan that made Phase 1 possible: sequencing the work to match GC milestones, syncing with other trades on-site, and keeping the team sharp and safety-focused through the added fatigue and risk that come with overnight schedules. Leadership like that is what turns a tough logistical puzzle into two completed floors.
Five floors to go! Proud of this crew and excited to keep this momentum through the rest of the tower.
